2016 Strides for CJD is scheduled for October 1, 2016. Supporters from all over the country will run/walk to make a difference for the rare neurodegenerative disorder, Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease.
About CJD and the CJD Foundation:
Creutzfeldt-Jacob Disease (CJD) is a rare, rapidly progressive neurodegenerative disorder. There is no treatment or cure and the disease is invariably fatal. The CJD Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, offers families a 7-day HelpLine, referrals, an annual conference, and support groups. Proceeds of this event will go to the CJD Foundation General Fund, which supports our advocacy, medical education, family support, and research programs.
The 2nd Annual Strides for CJD 5k Run/Walk will take place in New Jersey at Central Park of Morris County and at locations around the country.
Strides for CJD is presented by the Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease Foundation. The CJD Foundation hopes Strides for CJD will ensure
that anyone, anywhere, can participate and show their support, raise awareness for patients, family and friends of this rare disease, while also helping to enrich and sustain the programs created by the Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease Foundation.
